BOLDEN, JR., USMC
Our Keynote Speaker will be Retired Major General Charles F. Bolden, Jr.,
USMC. General Bolden has enjoyed a very distinguished career in the armed
forces and government agencies. After graduating from the US Naval Academy
at Annapolis, he served in many varied roles: naval aviator and test pilot
where he logged more than 6,000 hours of flying in more than 30 models of
fixed and rotary wing aircraft; Space Shuttle Pilot Astronaut where he flew
four missions; Assistant Deputy Administrator for NASA, Deputy Commandant of
the U.S. Naval Academy; Deputy Commander of the U.S. Forces in Japan, and
many others positions.

and colleagues. Former NASA astronaut and highly decorated Major General
Bolden will speak on the preparation for and practice of engineering and
